Hosting for the sites and systems we build.

Capital Design hosts the websites and web applications it builds. When something breaks, you deal with the company that wrote it.

Hosting is part of the engineering, not a separate catalogue of gigabytes. A brochure site, a content-managed website, and a custom application do not need the same machine, the same mail, or the same backups. The plan is quoted after we know what is being hosted.

What hosting covers

  • The website or application The public site, and the private system behind it when there is one.
  • PHP and MySQL The usual home for the business sites and web applications we ship.
  • Windows environments When a project genuinely needs the .NET framework, we scope a Windows server instead of forcing it onto the wrong stack.
  • Business email Mailboxes on your domain, so customers write to the company rather than a free address.
  • The domain Registration and renewal can be handled with the hosting, so the name and the site do not drift apart.

How a plan is chosen

Tell us the site, the expected mailboxes, and whether there is a database or an integration. You receive a monthly figure and what it includes before anything is switched on.

There are no fixed public packages. Disk, databases, and mailboxes are sized to the site and confirmed in writing. Business email on your domain can be included.

If you need a place for a new website or a system we are building, hosting is discussed in the same conversation. Moving an existing site across is possible when we can see what it is made of.

What we collect

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, phone number, company, and message you choose to send. The server may also record a technical address and the time of the request so we can tell a genuine enquiry from automated noise.

Why we keep it

To answer you, to prepare a scope, and to keep a record of that conversation. We do not sell the information, and we do not use it for a mailing list you did not ask for.

How long

Enquiry records are kept while a conversation or a project is active, and for as long afterwards as we need to answer a query about that work. You can ask for a copy or for deletion of an enquiry that has not become a contract by using the contact form.
